Corona Diaries
- the contradiction between the beauty of the blossoming spring and the tragic of the pandemic is sometimes hard to understand.
„ I am doing quite fine in my self qurantine as I can work from home.
I realized that I can concentrate much better while doing home office
because there is no destruction.
I even work longer than I did in the office without realizing it.
I hope we can implement home office days in our working schedule in the future aswell“

„The other day, I saw an old lady in a beige headscarf pulling back a curtain
and watching the free people walk past.
I waved at her.
She smiled and waved back.
It was small and quick, but the exchange held a week`s worth of intimicy“

In the current situation, homeless people and other marginalised folks are experiencing tougher lives than most of us who have the privilege to quarantine and wash our hands… I saw the Gabenzäune movement pop-up all around Berlin and felt that it was necessary to set one up at S-Bahn Neukolln. My friend and I made signs and started hanging food packages there.
I posted about it on social media and started collecting donations to ensure that I could continuously provide food packages. At the moment, I’m hanging at least 2-3 packages every day. I enjoy the interactions I have with them and providing food (a basic necessity), but it’s also important to let them know that we acknowledge their existence and haven’t forgotten about them. In a system that doesn’t support everyone, we have to ensure that we support each other.
