The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is digitizing its collection.
With 15 million insects, 5,000 insects a day are to be conservatively processed and digitized in a project that is unique in the world.

The heart of the project is the digitization street:
The insects are pricked
onto needles by employees
and marked with a QR code.

Thanks to the world's first 3D scanner for insects, hundreds of years old beetles and flies can be digitally recorded and preserved for posterity.
